ERIC WAUGH, from Montreal, Canada, is one of the most recognizable and collected artists of original fine art among both private and corporate collectors. Waugh is also the Guinness Book of World Records creator of “Hero” the World’s largest painting on canvas (41,400 square feet) by a single artist, which Waugh created to benefit children in need.

Not content solely with painting in his studio, however, Waugh also takes his art to the people with LIVE painting performances around the World. Fusing art with music, Waugh paints live to the beat, capturing its rhythms and energy on his canvas amazing  audiences one brush stroke at a time.

Given Waugh’s talents and his love of music, he has painted live with such diverse musical talents as The Jacksons, Tony Bennett, The Fray, Sheryl Crow, The Goo Goo Dolls, Roger Hodgson of Supertramp, Sammy Hagar, Roch Voisine, Daya, Nelly Furtado, the Doobie Brothers, Kool and the Gang, The Wallflowers, The Rippingtons, The St Petersburgh Symphony Orchestra, Jefferson Starship and Donna Summer to mention but a few.

During Waugh’s live performances he works primarily in acrylics with mixed media elements. Starting with a black canvas, he transforms the darkness into an explosion of vibrant colours in a mesmerizing flurry of artistic activity. Within minutes the subject comes to life in Waugh’s “POP FUSION” style on the canvas and is further transformed into a multi layered rich composition over the next 30 - 60 minutes.  This is not a speed painting per-say but rather 33 years of Waugh’s artistic experience unfolding before your eyes.
