06/04/06 - The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra took its show on the water Sunday, with a floating concert at Fairport Canal Days. 75 RPO musicians boarded a 120 foot long barge that was tethered for the 90 minute concert. It was the first time afloat for the RPO and the first time a concert this size took place on the Erie Canal. Eric Waugh pictured here warmed up Sunday morning on RNews for his role in the concert, but he's not a musician. The internationally-renowned artist painted an eight-foot by five-foot portrait of the RPO in action during the 90 minute show.
10/27/05- Eric painted "The red door" live on WROC in Rochester, New York. The Painting was later auctioned at the Nan Miller Gallery to benefit Gildas Club of Rochester,
6/8/05- Eric was interviewed on the Lanagan & Malone radio program on WMJI-FM in Cleveland, Ohio. Eric also donated a $5,000 commission piece to be auctioned off for a Cleveland Scholarship charity on the station.
4/8/05- Eric painted on Good Day Atlanta (Fox 5) Atlanta with host Mark Hayes. John Waite also performed while Eric was painting.
12/04 12/02/04- Eric appeared on the "South Florida Today" show on NBC 6 in Miami and painted "Mango Mambo" The piece was sold to raise money to help NBC support 20 orphaned Miami area teens so they could have some age appropriate gifts for the holidays.
7/28/04- Eric painted on The Saturday Morning Show on WMAQ- Channel 5 in Chicago.
4/18/04- Eric was invited to paint live on WJXT-TV Jacksonville where he created the original piece "Jacksonville Jazz".
2/04-While in Miami for the Coconut Grove Festival, Eric performed live on the NBC 6 morning show to promote the festival.
2/04- First time ever for a live painting performance on radio. Eric performed on WKIS-Radio in Miami on the "Coffey in the Morning" show.
5/03-Good Morning Atlanta,WXIA-TV (NBC). Eric painted the "cow parading Cow" for the Cow parade, Atlanta.
3/03-FOX 5-Good Day Atlanta. Eric painted "Jazz Angels" for the Gainesville Arts Council.
