NEW CALENDAR OF EVENTS

ERIC WAUGH, from Montreal, Canada, is one of the most recognizable and collected artists of original fine art among both private and corporate collectors. Waugh is also the Guinness Book of World Records holder for “Hero” the world’s largest painting on canvas (41,400 square feet) by a single artist, which Waugh created to benefit children in need.

Not content solely with painting in his studio, however, Waugh also takes his art to the people with live painting performances at upscale events across North America, such as at the Hard Rock Hotel, the BB King Blues Club, and the House of Blues, among others. Fusing art with music, Waugh paints live to the beat, capturing its rhythms and energy on his canvas. Waugh amazes audiences by creating musically inspired art before their eyes; this art form captivates both art and music lovers alike.

Given Waugh’s talents and his love of music, he has painted live with such diverse musical talents as Nelly Furtado, Tony Bennett, the Doobie Brothers, Allan Harris, the Wallflowers, Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons, the Cobb Symphony Orchestra, Randy Weston, Tommy Emmanuel, Marc Cohn, Freddy Cole, Maria Howell, Jefferson Starship, and Firefall, to mention but a few.

Waugh works primarily in acrylics with mixed media elements. With its vibrant colors, rich textures, and lively images, Waugh’s fun yet sophisticated art reflects his own heartfelt passion for the arts and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Enjoying Waugh's art is pleasure in itself; seeing him create it live is an event not to be missed.
