Art
in Action

Since artist Eric Waugh's transition from graphic to fine art in 1988,
he has sold more than 18,000 original paintings and thousands of fine
art prints, making him the most collected original artist of his kind.
He loves to share his talent with the public, not only through selling
art, but creating it in front of a crowd. Waugh travels to different
venues and performs, usually to music. The end product is a direct
result of the environment and the sounds he hears while he's painting,
which makes the process all the more engaging and fascinating for
the viewer.
Recently,
Waugh performed on Good Day, Atlanta and 11 Alive News, painted a
CowParade cow in front of hundreds (he also designed the CowParrade
Atlanta 2003 poster),painted live to the smooth vocals of Tony Bennett
at the Grand Prix Gala in Montreal, and painted to the rhythm of the
entertainment at the Swissotel in Buckhead.
Also
a humanitarian, Waugh frequently lends his energy and talents to charity.
In December,2001, he unveiled the world's largest painting on canvas
by a single artist (according to Guinness World Records), entitled
"Hero," Waugh worked for five years on the 41,400 square foot painting,
which was originally in Raleigh, North Carolina, but has since been
cut into some 41,000 pieces and sold. The proceeds benefited Heartland,
a Minnesota camp for children affected by AIDS and HIV, and the Los
Angeles-based Starlight Children's Foundation, which helps seriously
ill children.
